Role Overview:

As a Senior Odoo Functional Consultant, you will act as the bridge between complex business requirements and technical execution. With nearly a decade of experience, you are expected to lead end-to-end implementations, mentor junior consultants, and provide strategic architectural oversight. You will be responsible for transforming business processes across finance, supply chain, manufacturing, and HR into seamless Odoo workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

  • End-to-End Implementation: Lead the full lifecycle of Odoo implementations, including requirement gathering, gap analysis, functional design, configuration, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Business Process Engineering: Analyze client business processes and provide expert recommendations on best practices to align them with Odoo’s standard features.
  • Functional Documentation: Create comprehensive BRDs (Business Requirement Documents), FRS (Functional Requirement Specifications), and user manuals.
  • Solution Architecture: Design complex functional workflows and collaborate with the technical team to define customization requirements when standard Odoo does not suffice.
  • Project Leadership: Manage project timelines, resource allocation, and stakeholder expectations for multiple large-scale enterprise projects simultaneously.
  • Data Migration & Integration: Oversee the mapping and migration of legacy data into Odoo and assist in designing integrations with third-party applications (e.g., eCommerce, payment gateways, shipping providers).
  • Mentorship: Guide and train junior functional consultants, conducting internal knowledge-sharing sessions and peer reviews of functional designs.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience: 8–10 years of experience in Odoo functional consultancy, with a proven track record of at least 5+ full-cycle enterprise implementations.
  • Odoo Mastery: Expert-level knowledge of core Odoo modules: Accounting (including localized taxation), Inventory, Manufacturing (MRP), Purchase, Sales, CRM, and Project.
  • Domain Expertise: Strong understanding of business domains like Finance/Accounting, Supply Chain Management, or Retail/POS.
  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to perform deep-dive gap analysis and propose “out-of-the-box” solutions before resorting to custom development.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for client-facing workshops and executive presentations.
  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field. Odoo Certification is highly preferred.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Experience with Odoo.sh, Enterprise vs. Community editions, and different version upgrades (e.g., v15 to v18).
  • Familiarity with specialized modules like Quality, Maintenance, or Field Service.
  • Experience in a specific industry vertical (e.g., Healthcare, E-commerce, or Construction).
